Immersive footage breaks normal post

None of this is exotic work. It is just work that most edit bays cannot physically complete before your deadline.

  1. 01

    The files are the problem

    An hour of 8K60 dual-fisheye is hundreds of gigabytes. Scrubbing it needs proxies, and building proxies at that resolution is itself an overnight job on a normal machine.

  2. 02

    Fisheye is not footage yet

    What comes off the card is two circles, not a picture. Dewarping, aligning and reprojecting to equirectangular is a calibration job, and a bad stitch line lands right where the viewer is looking.

  3. 03

    Encoding is where deadlines die

    Immersive delivery means high-bitrate 10-bit H.265 or AV1 at resolutions the format was never benchmarked on. Encodes run in hours, not minutes, and a wrong flag means running them all again.

  4. 04

    It has to be checked in a headset

    Convergence, horizon and stitch errors are invisible on a flat monitor. Every delivery gets reviewed where it will actually be watched.

Before you buy

What if I go over the source limit?

Nothing breaks and nothing gets cancelled. You either move up a package or add a source block at a fixed rate. You are told the difference before any work starts, never after delivery.

How do I send footage that large?

You do not upload anything here. You paste a link to wherever it already lives — Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer — on the screen before payment. Nothing to install and no account to create.

How many revisions are included?

Revision rounds are included in every package. Fixes to stitching, alignment or encoding errors are not revisions — those are simply the job, and there is no limit on them.

Can you sign an NDA?

Yes, before payment. Send it over and it gets signed the same day. White label work is normal here: your client never learns this step existed.

What about a rush job?

Ask first. Rush capacity depends on what is already in the render queue, and you will get a straight yes or no rather than an optimistic maybe.
